let's start with my top tips,
Figure out your personal style;
When you are getting dressed and trying to put an outfit together and that is to do your hair and makeup beforehand I don't know about you but there have been so many times that I've had a delivery and it's been the evening and I've wanted to try the pieces on and it just doesn't work and you feel really down-hearted and that is because it's probably the end of the day all your makeup smudged off your hair's not been done and it just doesn't make a full look for me I think the style and looking good is all about the full package, not just your outfit it's all about the attention to detail so I think
doing your hair and makeup beforehand really helps you visualize when you go to trying on the outfits what they'll actually look like so here I'm just using my Dyson so you don't need to do
your full finished look but things like getting your hair dried and styling it a little bit.
I'm putting on here some of my favorite products I've got my steeler to fail safe lip color which I go to all the time it's a stay-all-day liquid lip in the color Celina and I feel like my face just kind of comes alive once I've got that on so put the things on that you think to make you feel like yourself again eyebrows, I always make sure, I do my eyebrows, I use the hourglass pencil um and they are kind of thicker they come in two different sizes. I use
some thicker ones in the shade platinum blonde. I feel like once I've got my staple makeup pieces on and I can start trying on outfits and putting things together.
Steam your clothes;
Tip number two is to steam your clothes. I feel like so many people neglect this, but it is honestly so transformative, but also, really quick and easy so you've no excuse for missing
this step out. I've used my old steamer very regularly. I'd say I use that about three times a day every day um because it's just so quick and easy to use so here I'm showing you the access steam care and this is just such a handy piece to have it heats up in 40 seconds so if you're on the go you don't have time for ironing and it can be very tedious you don't have time for that and you just need a quick freshen up of your items this is the steamer to go for and also which I think so many people aren't aware of me included before this but this steamer will kill 99.9 of bacteria including covid which I think is always great to know and it just gives your clothes that real kind of freshen up if you've not washed the item and just need it to kind of have a bit of a kind of new life then giving it steam really does that so you can see me using it in the example, here and something I find really useful about this particular steamer that cord is quite long so you can kind of stretch it about a bit to do different items and if you've not got a plug in a convenient place it will stretch to that so I find that personally really useful so I use it here on a blouse but they are actually really useful. I've recently got some linen-type curtains and they're great for that so very versatile pieces and quite compact too so if you are traveling pop them in your suitcase um I always find them no matter how neatly I fold my clothes. they'll always end up scrunched up so it's great to just pop with you when you're traveling I'm using it here on this shirt which I find a really tricky one to get the creases out of but with the steamer, it just works so well as you can see there are quite a few creases in beforehand I feel like um you can just shove it in your wardrobe and immediately it will kind of crease up a little bit if it's pressed in with some other clothes and so I think for items like this steamers are so useful and you can see the kind of
the transformation between the creased mess that it was before and then the steamer instantly revives it so if you do anything in the morning make sure to get your steamer out because it really does revive your clothes completely and gives you that very polished sleek finish and for blouse, it does such a nice finish on the collar and the sleevesthat are too tricky to iron really they can get quite messed up with the ironing I've got quite a few pieces um that I find really hard to do
with an iron and I just don't bother and then it looks a mess so to have a steamer to do this kind of fiddly bits and make them really smooth is just so helpful as well so I'd say out of everything in the video this is probably the step that I really adhere to the most and the one that I kind of religiously do every time I go out so I really recommend um giving the steamer.
Be simple in your outfits;
So tip number three is don't complicate your outfits so I've given you an example of what I mean by this just to demonstrate it further the first outfit that I've got on I feel like there's a little bit too much going on um in this so I've got the blouse on which is so pretty feminine and definitely a bit more of a statement piece in itself and then I've got this shoelace on from him over the top I've got the pleated skirt on which is from h m last year I do love this skirt and love all of these pieces
individually then I've got a belt on then I've got the lace-up boots on and I feel like there are so many different elements to this outfit there are multiple different textures layers belts buckles fastenings pleats frills ruffles you name it the outfit has it and I think all of these components definitely work well in a more paired down way which I'll show you in a minute I think something to consider here is the three color rules so instead of kind of going for we've got the white we've got the green we've got the beige we've got the
black in this let's pair it back a little bit and I want to show you how I would wear it so keeping most of the elements in this outfit I've gone for a black top and I've also taken off the belt as well and gone for a different more simplistic bag so here by not complicating things and keeping it simple we are sticking to the three color rule we have beige green and black and it's nice to keep all those elements tied together otherwise it can start looking a little bit messy so I've gone for the blacktop which just kind of tones it down a little bit it's very simple because we already have the pleats and the lace-up boots and the uh jelly going on we have a lot already so I paired it back with
the top and just kept those three colors so sticking to that three-color rule keeping it nice and simple and I would really recommend it and it just makes dressing so much easier I'm just showing you a way that I would wear the blouse in a kind of less complicated
way and is here I'm pairing it with some simple ultra jeans my Gucci loafers and this Karen Millen coat so this sort of falls into the contrast dressing category before we had very much a lot of feminine pieces it's got long pleated skirt they're pretty blouse um the Gilley and the outfit was overall quite feminine so I would suggest going for a bit more of a contrast so here we kept the very feminine pretty delicate blouse but just contrasted that with
more simplicity basic slightly more masculine with the jeans and the loafers and that contrast just stop the outfit from looking a bit too overwhelming and a little bit too much so keep it simple and don't overcomplicate matters.

Embellish with jewelry;
Tip number four is to add jewelry, again feel like this is quite a neglected step um I think sometimes we are in a rush to get the outfit together and sort of forget those finishing touches like I said with the hair and makeup it's all about a full
outfit coming together for me and adding jewelry just provides that extra interest so obviously I'm wearing all pieces from my collection with no school women here and they're just so easy to layer up together I think particularly if you're wearing something quite simple like I do I go for a lot of basic capture wardrobe pieces finishing it off with jewelry really just makes it all come together and it completely transforms it from something quite plain uh into something unusual and a little bit different for example imagine a plain
white t-shirt just by itself and then imagine it layered up with lots of gold different chains necklaces some good earrings bracelets and it completely transforms that basic t-shirt so always adds your jewelry.

Balancing proportions;
Finally, I wanted to talk about balancing proportions this is so key for me and it's something, I really take into consideration when
choosing my outfit and I think it's a really easy way to look stylish so in the first put away you can see that I've got the blouse on again with the jeans and these very chunky boots so here I feel like there's an imbalance of proportion and it doesn't kind of weigh out from the bottom to the top equally we've got very very heavy boots and they
make it quite um bottom heavy so what I would do instead to transform that is put a blazer over the top something a little bit boxier something more structured to balance it out and create that nice leveling on the eye of slightly chunkier at the bottom then
we've got the slimmer jeans and then we've got the chunky boots I talk about this all the time but I think it's really really key and something that you can very easily incorporate into your
getting dressed routine.

I hope this has been helpful to you if it has press that subscribes button on my youtube and gives me a thumbs up and I'd love to know any tips that you have when you get dressed that kind of always do and until I think about it I feel like I do them quite subconsciously but it's quite interesting when you do look into it a
bit more and think about those things that you actually do every time you get dressed and break it down and then it makes it sort of easier
In the future, if you're ever struggling you can just go back to those tips
